The swimming team opened its season with a bang at its first league meet against the Wallenberg Bulldogs, on March 2. Since Wallenberg does not have a varsity team, the boys' and girls' varsity team both took home wins of 25-0. The girls' and boys' JV teams were also successful, with the girls scoring 129-6 and the boys scoring 128-13.

Lowell's 60 swimmers towered over Wallenberg's 13-person team. "We have sixty swimmers this season, and more than thirty of them are returning to the team," head coach Jonathan Riley said.

Come cheer on the Cardinals at 3:30 p.m on March 9 at Balboa Pool, as they race against the Balboa Buccaneers.
