The girls' varsity basketball team further cemented its position as the team to beat in the Academic Athletic Association with a 47-35 victory over Washington in Battle of the Birds on Friday.

Both teams were undefeated in league play going into the game, but now Lowell (7-0) remains the sole team with a spotless AAA record. Junior guard Katarina Lum led all scorers with 15 points.

Come support the team at 5:30 p.m. on Jan. 31 at home as they face off against Balboa.
