The girls’ varsity soccer team continued its domination on Thursday and destroyed the Mission Bears 6-0. The game was similar to Tuesday’s match against Galileo where the team showed another impressive display of power and routed the Lions 6-0 in its third consecutive league victory.
On Tuesday the girls were already up 5-0 at half-time and were never in danger of losing. The offense was balanced with five different players scoring as junior forward Mara Woods-Robinson (also a reporter for The Lowell) led the team with two goals.
The defense, which stayed solid throughout the game, has yet to concede two goals in a single game this year. The only team that has kept up with the Cardinals so far is the Washington Eagles, who remain undefeated in their four regular season games. Their upcoming game against Washington on March 15 may end up deciding the season.
Come out and support Lowell at 4 p.m. on Tuesday at Lowell as they take on the Washington Eagles.
