Inexperience hasn’t fazed the JV girls volleyball team as they’ve picked six wins already this season.

The Cardinals continued their impressive winning streak after defeating the Mercy Skippers on Monday with set scores of 25-23, 18-25 and 15-10. It was a close game but the Cardinals pulled through, according to freshman defense specialist Viviane Nguyen. “We never gave up,” she said.

Come watch the Cardinals at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday Oct. 7 at home against the Washington Eagles.

After trouncing the Skippers, the Cardinals amassed an impressive 6-1 record for the preseason so far.

On Sept. 16 the team defeated the Terra Nova Tigers 25-12 and 25-10 in two quick sets. The Cardinals’ excellent defense allowed them to block the Tigers’ futile offense, according to freshman setter Gianna Braganza.

Come support the Cardinals as they start the AAA season at 3:45 p.m. today at Thurgood Marshall as they take on the Marshall Phoenix.
