The undefeated JV basketball girls are now AAA champions after crushing the Washington Eagles yesterday at the championships 48-42.

The girls used all the skills they have been working on the whole season to clinch the championship. The team started off slow in the beginning, but their offense shut down the Eagle’s defense in the second and third quarters, earning them a big lead. “We worked hard and we are proud of the team we have become,” freshman Vanessa Lee said.

The team came one step closer to becoming champions after defeating the O’Connell Boilermakers on Tuesday with a score of 67-32. The team’s defense locked down the Boilermakers, allowing for the swift victory. “We want to take it home and end the season well,” freshman Mandy Che said.

The JV basketball team crushed the Balboa Buccaneers on Jan. 31 with a score of 54-13. The team’s communication on defense as well as spacing helped to pull off the victory.
