Lowell students are always relieved to have a day without much stress. On Tuesday, the cross country team cruised its way through a relaxed All-Comers meet, hosted by Galileo, in Golden Gate Park.

The purpose of the All-Comers meet is to let new runners get a feel for the course, according to senior co-captain Karen Chin. “It was a really relaxed meet, kind of like a scrimmage,” Chin said. “A lot of runners jogged their way through.”

Varsity runners junior William Chen and senior co-captain Corey Worthington finished first and second, respectively, in the varsity boys race.

The course was partially obstructed by construction left over from a concert that took place in the park on Sunday Oct. 3. “We had to run around things on the ground, but it didn’t affect our running,” junior varsity runner Samuel Wang said.

Come support the Cardinals at 9 a.m. on Saturday in Belmont at the Crystal Springs Cross Country Course in the Crystal Springs Invitational.
