The boys’ varsity basketball team fell just short, losing 53-49 to Washington in the Battle of the Birds.

After giving up the lead six minutes into the first quarter, the Cards only led once more during the game, trailing the Eagles until the very end. They now rest at 5-1, topping the Neff division despite the loss.

Come cheer on the Cardinals Monday, Jan. 24 at 4 p.m. at home against Balboa.
