After thumping the Burton Pumas and the ISA Cobras the Cardinals need new prey.

Undefeated and undaunted, the boys’ soccer team remains the leader in the AAA boasting an amazing 14-0 record after easily defeating the ISA Cobras 6-1 yesterday.

The boys posted a 4-0 victory over the Pumas on Tuesday due to a combined effort by junior midfielders Max Pollard and Paul Stainier as well as senior co-captain Leo Harrington, who scored a pair of goals. Although the boys prevented Burton from scoring, the Pumas put up a better fight in this previous encounter.

On Oct. 14, the agile Cardinals swooped past the thundering Mission Bears and snagged a 1-0 victory in a fierce rematch between the two league leaders. “They are the toughest team in the league,” senior midfielder Eduardo Jimenez said. “They dominated for most of the game, but we caught them in the second half.”

On Oct. 12, the Cardinals defeated the O’Connell Boilermakers 3-1, who put up an aggressive defense but failed to deny the boys their eleventh straight victory. Two goals by senior midfielder Leo Harrington and junior midfielder Max Pollard sealed the game. O’Connell only scored one goal from a penalty kick.

Support the Cardinals as they continue their spectacular undefeated season at 3:45 p.m. next Tuesday at Feibusch Field in a rematch against the Lincoln Mustangs.
