The boys’ JV basketball team remained undefeated Jan. 6 by taking a sound 40-17 victory over the Burton Pumas.

The Cardinals started their second game of the league season with ease, ending the first quarter 14-0. The boys then proceeded to maintain control of the game, completing the first half 21-7. The Cards then continued to add points in the second half, ending the third quarter 30-9, and then finishing the game 40-17.

The Cardinals played their first game of the season on Jan. 4 against the Galileo Lions. They managed a slim 48-47 victory in double over-time. “Galileo has become a very good team but we also needed to improve our defense and rebounding,” sophomore small forward Aaron Moye said.

Come support the Cardinals at 4 p.m. on Friday at the Kezar Gymnasium as they take on the Wallenberg Bulldogs.
