The JV boys’ basketball team was shut down in the AAA championship by the Lincoln Mustangs, 37-53 on Thursday.

The Cardinals kept a close game getting to the first half with a score of 23-24. But in the second half the Cardinals fell behind due to the Mustangs’ strong rebounding.

The Cardinals made it to the championship by defeating the Washington Eagles 33-32 on Tuesday. They won with a three-point shot made in the last 17 seconds by freshman point guard Jamal Thompson.

On Feb. 1 the JV boys’ basketball team trampled the Mission Bears in a 45-24 rout. This victory followed a 48-43 victory over the Marshall Phoenix on Jan 31.
