Despite facing a slow season with six consecutively rained out games, the boys’ varsity team amped up its spirits and has won its last eight games.

The Cardinals beat the June Jordan Jaguars 12-2 on April 20, the Wallenberg Bulldogs 12-1 on April 19, the Mission Bears 18-2 on April 18, the Lincoln Mustangs 4-0 on April 14 and 10-0 the day before, O’Connell Boilermakers 18-1 on April 11 and Balboa Buccaneers 10-4 on April 7.

On April 4 the boys won 18-1 against Burton with sophomore pitcher Aaron Leong’s outstanding lead and multiple stolen bases by the Cardinals. Unfortunately, the team’s clean record was stained by a loss to the Washington Eagles 7-1 in its first game of the season on March 17.

Come see the boys play at 3:30 pm Monday at Big Rec- Graham against the Marshall Phoenix.
