The Cardinals overthrew the Washington Eagles 4-3 on April 8 in one of the most intense, exciting and epic Battle of the Bird matches of the year.

The varsity baseball team successfully conquered two back-to-back games against Washington High School by narrow margins, 5-3 and 4-3. “We kept up our intensity and as a result came out with two overall wins against the Eagles,” senior pitcher and designated hitter Chris Chen said.

The team came out with their heads held high after the satisfying game. “It felt great to be a part of the game,” Chen said. “This team is definitely special.”
