The Cardinals are stampeding the competition and triumphing once again, making their track record 4-0 in the season. Due to the Galileo Lion’s errors and the Cardinals’ powerful hits, the game ended after five innings because of the 10-run rule.
It all started with freshman temporary first baseman Jake Simons stepping up to bat, hitting it far out to the gap between left and center field—allowing him to run to second base. The team carried this great start throughout the game, making few mistakes and defeating Galileo with a 12-0 blowout. Freshman pitcher and third baseman Aaron Leong threw in his two runs to maintain the lead. But the Cardinals’ play was a bit flawed. They would often go halfway between bases then run back, instead of stealing the next base before running home, according to sophomore captain and center fielder Charles Nguyen. Despite the small errors, the Cardinals pulled through, making this game just another victory in the Cardinals’ impeccable record.
