A combination of tears for a disappointing loss and smiles for an unforgettable season put an end to the final huddle of the 2010 varsity baseball team.

On May 6, the varsity baseball team said their final goodbyes to the closing season with a devastating 5-8 loss to the Washington Eagles in the playoffs. “It was difficult for the team to have done so well all year winning 23 games and being in first place 13-1 all season only to have some breaks in the final game against Washington,” coach John Donohue said.

altVarsity Baseball lost to the Washington Eagles 8-5 at Big Rec on Thursday in a semifinal game that brought their 13-1 season to an end.  The Cardinals' late-game rally nearly overcame an early Washington lead.

After slaving away all season, the Cardinals went out with a bang and screams of joy.

In the championship game on April 21, the Cardinals faced off against the Washington Eagles and snatched the AAA title after a 13-3 win.
