The badminton team suffered its first loss Tuesday, falling to the Galileo Lions 2-5.

The Cardinals came up short in their first two singles matches, but later rose to victory in two of the rest of the five matches. In the end, however, Galileo was able to defeat them by winning five of the seven matches in all.

Before the disappointing loss, the Cardinals challenged Monta Vista on March 18, edging them out 4-3. The Cardinals also competed against the Balboa Buccaneers on March 17. The Buccaneers were good competition, but the Cardinals beat them with a score of 4-3.
