The Cardinals lit the Marshall Phoenixes up in flames, but they failed to rise again.
The varsity girl’s badminton team extinguished the Marshall Phoenixes’ flame on April 15 with another 5-0 win. Another division B team, the Phoenixes were no competition for the Cardinals. “We are still undefeated,” doubles player Lydia Hu said. “But this doesn't mean we won't continue to work hard and concentrate on improving to become even worthier opponents.”
Although the match was a piece of cake for the girls, second singles alternate Mo Ying Tsui noted there were a few preventable errors on the Cardinals’ part. “For our future practices we plan to cut down on errors by being more focused, improving skills, and working on weaknesses to get better,” Tsui said.
Come support the Cardinals at 4 p.m. on April 20 at Burton against the Pumas.
