Student suggests eco-friendly support for campus trash habits to increase convenience and help the earth
Dec. 8, 2010

Dear Editor,

I am extremely disappointed in Lowell’s lack of recycle and compost bins.
I am well aware that they are provided in the cafeteria and courtyard, but it would be nice to not have to schlep all the little recyclables and compostables to another part of the school.
The alternative is to just dump it all in the trash and landfill. By having more bins to enable the garbage sorting, Lowell can reduce its carbon foot print.
Easy.
