Students Run for board spot (5/08) PDF  | Print |  E-mail
Written by Ana Billingsley
Students are voting for a new student delegate to  the San Francisco Board of Education.

Incumbent delegate senior Jason Siu’s term will end this academic year. Because Siu is graduating from the district, he cannot run again.
“I hope that the new student delegate will champion the voices of students and truly represent his or her constituents,” Siu said.
The election for student delegate contains three candidates from different district high school campuses: DeAnthony Jones, Linda Loi and Maxwell Wallace.
The San Francisco Youth Commission conducts the election with the input from the school district’s Student Advisory Council. “Our goal is to inform students of ongoing propositions and candidates running on actual ballots,” Siu said.
