Martial arts to invade campus (4/08) PDF  | Print |  E-mail
Written by Jenny Ng
The school is preparing to co-host a butt-kicking martial arts tournament on May 18 at 9 a.m. in the gym.     The competition co-hosted by Eskabodaan, Lowell, and the International Filipino Martial Arts Association, features padded stick fighting, a Filipino martial art.
The competition is open to both high school students and adults of beginning, intermediate and advanced levels. Several students from the school’s very own Martial Arts club will be competing against students from other schools, including Washington High School. “People from all over the west coast and places like the East Bay are coming,” said dean Ray Cordoba, the Martial Arts club sponsor.
