Retired Newspaper adviser thanks staff for the memories and experiences (9/06) PDF  | Print |  E-mail
Written by The Lowell Staff
Many, many, many thanks to all of you — present and former editors, reporters, photographers, graphic artists, webbies, advertising managers and fellow advisers who have worked so hard to make The Lowell #1!

Together you made my years of teaching and advising the newspaper at Lowell an extraordinary experience as you created a colorful, informative and powerful force for change. In addition, you certainly enhanced my years at Mission advising The West Wing.

The retirement party just blew me away! The shared memories, the tears and stories of late nights and conventions and crises — I was astonished to see and talk with so many of you from so many different years that night. And the 'scrapbook'! It is a gift to treasure with memories of almost a decade of journalism — a potent read. You are so eloquent, so thoughtful and such perceptive writers — wonderful, delightful individuals, one and all. Would that we could stay in touch forever!

-Katharine Swan, Former journalism adviser
