This deliciously campy flick from the writer of Colma: The Musical is both a love letter to San Francisco and the chronicle of an artist’s attempts to find where she belongs. L.A. Renigen, also of Colma fame, plays Bethesda, a Filipina performance artist who moves into a Castro artists’ commune and learns about the city, the nightlife and about 50 different ways to say ‘fag-hag’. A full-length treat for anyone who’s ever ridden Muni.
